Short answer
In Canada, Facebook account recovery follows Facebook’s own routes: Disagree with decision on a suspension notice within the time shown, or facebook.com/hacked for a hijacked account. Report fraud to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre too. Unbanz helps you submit a clean appeal through Meta’s official process; Meta makes the final decision.
Official steps that come first
- If you see a suspended or disabled notice, log in and follow the prompts to disagree with the decision. Facebook gives most suspended accounts 180 days, but trust the date on your own screen.
- If you cannot log in because details were changed, go to facebook.com/hacked on a device and browser you have used before.
- Search for your account at facebook.com/login/identify and choose the option for no longer having access to your email or phone.
- Check your email, including spam, for a Facebook message about the change and use its undo link first.
- If Facebook asks for ID or a video selfie, use your real details and follow the instructions exactly.
Checks that matter in Canada
- Marketplace and group scams: a buyer who asks to “verify” you by sending a code, or a courier link, is the usual way in. The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (1-888-495-8501) lists current scams and takes reports.
- Pages, groups and ads: if the profile is disabled, a Page where you are the only admin can be lost and linked ad accounts can stop working. Make sure a trusted person has full control. For ad account problems see ad accounts disabled in Canada.
- Your Canadian number: it uses +1 like the USA, so enter all ten digits. Ask your carrier to lock the number if the SIM is lost or a port was attempted.
- News on Facebook: since August 2023 Meta has blocked news content for Canadian users. If your Page posts news links, they will not show to Canadians even when your account is fine.
- French notices: a Facebook notice may appear in French. The options are the same. Screenshot it as shown and send it to us in English or French.
What not to do
- Don’t pay or message anyone from a DM who says they can “open” your account.
- Don’t share your password or login codes with anyone, including us.
- Don’t create new accounts to plead with Facebook, and don’t send the same appeal over and over.
How Unbanz helps
We work out whether the account is disabled, hacked or both, gather the notice, the old email and phone and the dates, and handle the appeal through Meta’s official process. Main page: Facebook account recovery.
How it works with Unbanz
- Message us on WhatsApp or email with the Facebook name or profile link, the email or phone on the account, and a screenshot of the notice.
- We tell you honestly whether we can help and what it would cost.
- We prepare everything and handle the appeal through the platform’s official process.
- We keep you posted until there’s a result. Meta makes the final decision.
Who this is for
- Canadian Page owners, Marketplace sellers, group admins and agencies who run work through Facebook.
- People hacked through a phishing link or a fake buyer message.
- Publishers and community pages unsure whether the problem is the news block or the account.
- Anyone whose first appeal was rejected.
Staying safe
Nobody needs your password or login codes to help you. Not us, not anyone. If someone in your DMs offers to fix it for you, asks you to log in through their link, or claims to have a special way in, walk away. Unbanz never asks for logins and doesn’t claim any special access. We use the same official routes that are open to you, we just know them well and do the legwork properly.
No passwords or login codes. We handle the process end to end; Meta makes the final decision.
