Short answer
Instagram account recovery in Singapore starts with Instagram’s own routes: request a review on a disabled notice, or use instagram.com/hacked if someone took over the account. Scam and harassment reports go to separate Singapore bodies. Unbanz helps you appeal through Meta’s official process; Meta makes the final decision.
Official steps that come first
- If a disabled or suspended notice appears, tap it and request a review. Complete each screen, including any selfie check.
- If the email, number or password was changed, go to instagram.com/hacked on a phone you have used with Instagram before.
- Search your inbox and spam for an Instagram email about the change and use the undo link while it still works.
- Make sure the Singapore number on the account is still active. Codes are sent there.
- Send one complete appeal and wait for the reply to the email on the account.
Checks that matter in Singapore
- Your +65 number: Singapore numbers have no leading zero, so +65 followed by the eight digits. If the SIM is lost, Singtel, StarHub, M1 and other operators replace it after you verify your identity.
- Scams and fraud: the ScamShield Helpline on 1799 is open 24/7 for advice. To lodge a report, use the police e-service at police.gov.sg or call the Police Hotline on 1800-255-0000. In an emergency, call 999. Tell your bank immediately if money moved.
- Impersonation scams: a hijacked account that messages your followers for urgent money transfers is a pattern the Singapore Police Force keeps warning about. Tell your contacts to verify with you by another channel.
- Harassment, doxing and intimate image abuse: the Online Safety Commission, which began work on 29 June 2026, takes reports about these harms and can direct platforms to remove content. It does not restore accounts.
- Sellers and brands: keep your business name and registration details to hand if Instagram asks you to show the account is a real business.
What not to do
- Don’t pay or message anyone from a DM who says they can “open” your account.
- Don’t share your password or login codes with anyone, including us.
- Don’t create new accounts to plead with Instagram, and don’t send the same appeal over and over.
How Unbanz helps
We work out whether the account is disabled, hacked or both, gather the notice, the old email and phone and the dates, and handle the appeal through Meta’s official process. Main page: Instagram account recovery.
How it works with Unbanz
- Message us on WhatsApp or email with the Instagram name or profile link, the email or phone on the account, and a screenshot of the notice.
- We tell you honestly whether we can help and what it would cost.
- We prepare everything and handle the appeal through the platform’s official process.
- We keep you posted until there’s a result. Meta makes the final decision.
Who this is for
- Singapore creators, online shops, F&B brands and agencies who run their work through Instagram.
- People hacked through a phishing link or a fake brand collaboration.
- Anyone who already appealed once and got nowhere.
- Not for: accounts that were really used to run scams.
Staying safe
Nobody needs your password or login codes to help you. Not us, not anyone. If someone in your DMs offers to fix it for you, asks you to log in through their link, or claims to have a special way in, walk away. Unbanz never asks for logins and doesn’t claim any special access. We use the same official routes that are open to you, we just know them well and do the legwork properly.
No passwords or login codes. We handle the process end to end; Meta makes the final decision.
