Log in, tap the disabled notice and choose to appeal. You usually have 180 days. Confirm your details, complete any selfie or ID check, and submit once. If there’s no appeal option or it was denied, it isn’t always over.
The official appeal, step by step
- Open Instagram and log in to the disabled account.
- Tap “Disagree with decision” or “Request a review”.
- Confirm your email or phone, and do the video selfie if asked.
- Submit. Then wait. Re-submitting doesn’t speed it up.

- Being reported for impersonation, even when it’s your own account.
- Account integrity flags: bots, bought followers, automation tools.
- Content flagged by mistake.
