Check these first
- Open Account Quality in Meta Business Suite and read the reason on the restricted ad account.
- Check the payment method. A failed or disputed card charge is a common trigger for US advertisers.
- Turn on two-factor for every admin in the Business Portfolio.
- Finish business verification if Meta asks for it. Use your legal business name and address exactly as they appear on your EIN letter or state registration.
- Hit Request review if the button is there.
Common reasons US ad accounts get restricted
- Ads in special ad categories (credit, employment, housing, social issues, elections or politics) that weren’t declared.
- Health, supplement, finance or crypto claims that break Meta’s advertising standards.
- Payment problems, chargebacks or a sudden jump in spend on a new account.
- An admin profile that was hacked or flagged.
When to get help
- The review was denied, or there’s no review button.
- The whole Business Portfolio is restricted, not just one ad account.
- It keeps getting restricted again.
