Short answer
Open WhatsApp, tap Request a review on the ban screen, and add a short, honest explanation. WhatsApp reviews it and replies in the app. If that fails, you can contact WhatsApp support by email from the help pages.
Why numbers get banned
- Bulk messaging or messaging lots of people who haven’t saved your number.
- Using modified apps like GB WhatsApp or WhatsApp Plus.
- Many people blocking or reporting you in a short time.
- Auto-adding people to groups.
Do this first
- Uninstall any modified WhatsApp app and install the official one.
- Request a review in the app.
- Explain what you use the number for. Keep it short.
- Don’t keep re-registering the number. It can make things worse.
If it’s your business number
For WhatsApp Business, also check that you only message people who opted in. If you use the WhatsApp Business API through a provider, the ban may be on the business account in Meta Business Suite, which has its own review.
