What to do first
Log in with the profile that manages the business portfolio and open Account Quality. If you don’t see the portfolio you expect, you may be logged into the wrong profile, or you may not have a role.
Step 1: Choose the right portfolio
Use the selector at the top to switch between portfolios. Each portfolio has its own status, with sections for the portfolio, ad accounts, Pages and Instagram accounts.
Step 2: Read the status labels
Look for restrictions, disabled assets, ad rejections and warnings. Meta’s Account Overview in Ads Manager shows a similar view. Open each item to see the policy and the options. Items you can dispute show a request review button.
Step 3: Request a review once
Where a button exists, use it, add context if there’s a text box and submit. Meta doesn’t publish a timeline for these, so expect updates in the same place and by notification.
Step 4: Record what you see
Keep dated screenshots of statuses and decisions. They help when you talk to your team or write an appeal.
What the common statuses mean in plain language
- Limited or restricted: some features or ad spending are held back while the issue is fixed.
- Disabled: the asset can’t be used until the decision changes. Look for a review option.
- Disapproved ad: one ad was rejected. The account may be fine.
- Warning: Meta is telling you about a risk. Fix the cause before it becomes a restriction.
Statuses can differ across a portfolio. A Page can be fine while an ad account is restricted, so check each asset in turn.
A weekly five-minute routine
Open Account Quality, scan each portfolio for new notices, open any ad rejections from the last week, and check that payment methods are valid. Then record anything new in a shared log. If you see a warning, fix it that day rather than waiting for a restriction.
What not to do
- Don’t request multiple reviews for the same item.
- Don’t make major changes to a restricted account until you understand why.
- Don’t share your login to ask someone to check it for you.
Making it routine
Check Account Quality weekly if you spend heavily on ads, and after any new restriction email. A short routine avoids surprises.
