Short answer
Report the account as impersonating a business, and use Meta’s intellectual property form too, not just the in-app report button. Brand owners get more weight when they show they own the name or trademark.
Do this first
- Screenshot the fake profile, posts and any DMs sent to your customers. Copy the profile URL.
- Post a short note on your real account telling followers which account is real.
- Report it in the app as “Pretending to be someone” → “A business or organisation”.
- If it uses your registered trademark or logo, use Meta’s intellectual property report form too.
What helps a report
- Proof you own the business: website, registration, trademark number.
- A clear side-by-side of the real and fake account.
- Messages where the fake asked customers for money or details.

We only report accounts that are actually breaking Meta’s rules. Fan pages, honest reviews and competitors with similar names aren’t impersonation. We don’t mass-report or use bots.
