What counts as a failed claim
A claim fails when the username isn’t successfully claimed onto your profile. If the handle ends up on your own Instagram profile, the claim worked. If it doesn’t, it failed and you get the refund.
What it covers, and what it doesn’t
- Covered: username claims, meaning inactive, taken or OG handles claimed onto your own profile.
- Not covered by this page: other services such as unbans or account recovery. For those, price and any refund terms are agreed with you before we start.
How a claim works
Instagram has no “inactive” button and doesn’t sell usernames. Every claim goes through the platform’s own processes, matched to the handle: Meta’s intellectual property report if it matches your registered trademark, the impersonation report if the account pretends to be you or your brand, account recovery if the handle used to be yours, and the platform’s own processes for abandoned or squatted handles. We tell you which route fits and the price first. Instagram makes the final decision.
What we never do
- Buy, sell or take over accounts. The handle goes onto your own profile.
- File false or mass reports to free up a name.
- Ask for your password or login codes.
