How to report a profile
- Open the profile and tap the three dots.
- Tap Report, then choose the reason that matches.
- Follow the prompts and pick the most specific option.
Pick the right reason
Impersonation, scams, harassment, hate speech and intellectual property each go to a different review path. A wrong category is the most common reason a report gets closed. Impersonation of you or your business should use the "pretending to be someone" option.
Evidence that helps
- Screenshots with dates and the profile URL visible.
- Links to the specific posts or messages.
- For impersonation, your genuine profile and ID if requested.
- For copyright or trademark, Instagram's dedicated forms.
Why mass reporting doesn't work
Getting friends to report the same account doesn't force a ban. Reviews look at whether a rule was broken. One accurate report with evidence beats a hundred vague ones. It can also break the rules on coordinated behaviour.
After you report
You can check the status in Settings under Support requests. If the account stays up, we take it down for you.
Want us to handle it?
If the official route stalls, our Instagram account ban service gets it done. We never need your password.

Meta updates its help pages and flows often. Always follow the wording on your own notice and the current official Help Center. Unbanz is an independent service and is not affiliated with Meta, Instagram or Facebook.
