How to report a fake or impersonation account on Facebook

Facebook lets you report profiles and Pages that pretend to be you, someone you know or a business. Here's the clean way to do it.

Report a fake profile

  1. Go to the fake profile and tap the three dots.
  2. Choose Find support or report.
  3. Select the option that it's pretending to be someone, then pick who.

Report a fake Page

On the Page, open the three-dot menu and report it as a scam or as pretending to be you or your business.

Without a Facebook account

Facebook's Help Center has a form for reporting an account that's impersonating you, even if you don't have a Facebook account.

For businesses

Brands with a registered trademark can also use Meta's intellectual property forms. Keep proof of your brand and links to the infringing content.

If nothing happens

Check the Support Inbox for the result. If it stays up, we take it down for you.

Want us to handle it?

If the official route stalls, our impersonation account removal service gets it done. We never need your password.

Official sources

Meta updates its help pages and flows often. Always follow the wording on your own notice and the current official Help Center. Unbanz is an independent service and is not affiliated with Meta, Instagram or Facebook.
